Once the group was finalized, the Wild Ones got an audition and began playing opposite the Younger Brothers (the house band) at the Peppermint Lounge at 128 West 45th St. in Manhattan. Eventually they became the house band at this venue (Alden Interview 2, Peppermint Lounge Postcard).

At this time, the instrumentation of the band was as follows:

  • Jordan Christopher - Lead Vocal
  • Chuck Alden - Guitar / Backup Vocal
  • Tom Graves - Organ / Backup Vocal
  • Eddie Wright - Bass / Backup Vocal
  • Tommy Trick - Drums (Tricarico Interview 2)

The band didn't play at the Peppermint Lounge more than a year, according to Alden Interview 2. The band left the Pepppermint Lounge for Arthur in mid-April 1965 (Alden Interview 2).
